2019 third quarter Justice Files

During the third quarter of 2019, one Airman received a court-martial, four Airmen received nonjudicial punishments under Article 15, Uniform Code of Military Justice, and nine Airmen were involuntarily separated. Commanders use courts-martial, Article 15s and administrative separation actions to maintain good order and discipline.

Court-martial

436th Operations Support Squadron

An airman first class was court-martialed for wrongful use and possession of LSD, a violation of Article 112a, UCMJ. Punishment consisted of a reduction to the grade of airman, hard labor without confinement for 10 days and a bad conduct discharge.

Nonjudicial Punishment (Article 15s)

436th Force Support Squadron

A staff sergeant received an Article 15 for three specifications of dereliction of duty, a violation of Article 92, UCMJ. Punishment consisted of a suspended reduction to the grade of senior airman, hard labor without confinement for 30 days of extra duty and a reprimand.

436 Logistics Readiness Squadron

An airman first class received an Article 15 for one specification of drunk driving (no personal injury), a violation of Article 113, UCMJ. Punishment consisted of a reduction to the grade of airman, a suspended reduction to the grade of airman basic and a reprimand.

436th Operations Support Squadron

An airman first class received an Article 15 for one specification of failure to go, a violation of Article 86, UCMJ; one specification of a false official statement, a violation of Article 107; one specification of a false or unauthorized document, a violation of Article 134. Punishment consisted of a reduction to the grade of airman and a reprimand.

436th Airlift Wing

A staff sergeant received an Article 15 for one specification of dereliction of duty, a violation of Article 92, UCMJ. Punishment consisted of a reduction to the grade of senior airman and a reprimand.

Administrative Separation

436th Maintenance Squadron

An airman from the 436th MXS was administratively discharged for drug abuse with a general service characterization.

An airman first class from the 436th MXS was administratively discharged for minor disciplinary infractions with a general service characterization.

An airman first class from the 436th MXS was administratively discharged for fitness failure with an honorable service characterization.

436th Operations Support Squadron

A staff sergeant from the 436th OSS was administratively discharged for a pattern of misconduct with a general service characterization.

436th Aerial Port Squadron

An airman from the 436th APS was administratively discharged for drug abuse with a general service characterization.

An airman from the 436th APS was administratively discharged for fitness failure with an honorable service characterization.

An airman from the 436th APS was administratively discharged for drug abuse with a general service characterization.

436th Logistics Readiness Squadron

An airman from the 436th LRS was administratively discharged for drug abuse with a general service characterization.

436th Airlift Wing

A senior airman from the 436th AW was administratively discharged for minor disciplinary infractions with a general service characterization.
