Col. Matt Husemann, 436th Airlift Wing commander, has implemented Health Protection Condition (HPCON) Bravo Aug. 11, 2021.

“The health, safety and readiness of our Dover family is our top priority,” said Husemann. “HPCON Bravo heightens awareness for all base personnel and provides commanders additional options to protect our work force and manage risk.”

Husemann also stated this health protection condition is the most accurate description of the current situation as it indicates an elevated risk of sustained community transmission and exposure to COVID-19 for base personnel.

In accordance with DoD guidance, as of July 31, 2021, all personnel on Dover AFB must wear a face covering when indoors, regardless of vaccination status. Any base member experiencing COVID-19 symptoms should stay home and will immediately notify public health and their chain of command to determine an appropriate course of action.
