Dover AFB Dorms
· Air Conditioning Shutdown and Heating Startup: As the seasons change, so do the heating and cooling demands on Dover Air Force Base. Beginning October 15, the 436th Civil Engineer Squadron Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Shop will begin shutting down the base cooling systems as we start the upcoming heating season.  This process will take over approximately three weeks.  During this time, the HVAC shop will perform their annual maintenance and operations tests on the heating systems to ensure they are functioning properly.  We are estimating all heating systems will be operational by November  9. The Energy Policy for DAFB is still in effect with comfort heating temperatures for DAFB facilities to be 69 degrees. This will help DAFB cut down on our electrical kilowatt consumption thus helping to reduce global warming.  Please help keep thermostats set at or below 69 degrees this winter.  If you have any questions, please call 436 CES Customer Service at 677-2856.
