Career Transition Workshop
Inverness Technologies, Inc., is accepting resumes for a part-time Career Transition Workshop Facilitator/Trainer for Dover Air Force Base, Del. Successful candidate will facilitate approximately one to two workshops per month. Each workshop is three days in length (weekday, daytime hours). Recruitment is limited to the local commuting area, within 50 miles of the training site. This could be an excellent opportunity for military spouses or veterans living in the area. Candidates must have previous experience in training, career counseling or human resources.

Facilitators deliver comprehensive career transition workshops to assist transitioning service members on topics including: self appraisal, career decision making, identifying job goals, job search techniques, translating military to civilian, marketing transferrable skills, resume preparation, interviewing skills, dress for success, job offer and salary negotiations

Minimum qualifications include the following:
- Comprehensive understanding of the U.S. labor market and public and private sector employment practices
- Associates degree required; Bachelors degree in training, education, career counseling or human resources strongly preferred
- Three years experience as a trainer/facilitator. Experience delivering job search workshops is preferred
- Outstanding communication skills
- Interactive, dynamic and energetic training style necessary to engage this military audience in job search training activities. A training demonstration will be required as part of the interview
-Knowledge of the military and experience working with military clients in strongly preferred
-Must have ID card to enter U.S. military bases and buildings
- Flexibility to travel to other military bases to deliver workshops if needed

Race Weekend

Oasis swimming pool
Swim lessons will be conducted during the following dates:

Session 1: Monday-Thursday, June 17-28
Session 2: Monday-Thursday, July 8-19
Session 3: Monday-Thursday, July 22-Aug 2

Fridays are make-up days in case of inclement weather. Lessons cost $50 per child. May 28 to June 7 is the timeline for swim lesson registration.

Arts & Crafts Center
Card Making: May 22, 6-8 p.m. Join us for the basics of making your own cards, whether for birthdays, holidays or special events. Cost: $20, includes supplies.
Ladies Night: May 23, 6-8- pm. Ladies leave the kids at home and join us for pizza, crafts and good company. Cost $10, includes supplies.

Outdoor Recreation
Mountain Biking at Fair Hill, MD, May 25, Depart at 8 a.m. Return at 2 p.m. Air up the tires and join the Adventure Quest team as we travel to Fair Hill, Md and tackle 10 miles of some of the best single track on the east coast. Fair Hill, known for its hiking, biking and horse riding trails sprawls over 5,633 rolling acres tucked in the North Eastern corner of Maryland. Our cycling journey will take us through green meadows, down quiet forested trails, across crystal clear streams, down rocky descents and over one of only 2 covered bridges in Cecil County. This intermediate level ride requires some basic mountain biking experience. If you are unsure your riding ability and level of fitness are appropriate for this trip please inquire as we want all participants to have an enjoyable experience. The ride will be done in a group format so no one gets left behind. If using your own bicycle please ensure it is mechanically and structurally safe to operate off road. If you're not sure please inquire with us as we have a bike repair shop at ODR and can perform any necessary adjustments. Cost is $20 per person. Fee includes bike, helmet, water bottle, guide and transportation. Helmets are required for all bike trips. Depart at 8 a.m. Return at 2 p.m. Registration deadline is May 22. GEMS
The Armed Forces Medical Examiner System adn Delaware State University will be offering a beginning Gains in the  Education of Mathematics and Science Program for students currently enrolled in 6-8th grades. This program offers students the opportunity to explore new pursuits in Crime Scence Investigation and expand upon their current interests with unique hands-on experiences. It is offered at no cost to students. The sessions will be conducted at the Science Center at Delaware State University from 9-3 p.m. daily. Apply online at http://www.usaeop.com/.

Airmen & Family Readiness Center
The PLAYpass Program provides deployed-affected Single Airmen and Air Force families respite from the challenges of deployment. Single Airmen returning from deployment and families of deployed members can receive special discounts and rewards to help make their deployment easier. This program runs now through December 2013. PLAYpass cards pre-printed with specific dollar value coupon blocks can be applied to the specified programs offered at each participating location. Each card is valued in excess of $500.
