Diabetes or Asthma?
· Do you have Diabetes or Asthma? Group sessions are available to help understand and manage your condition. Call the MTF appointment line 730-4633 to schedule a session with a provider and a disease management nurse. Classes offered monthly.

Annual Trespass Notice
· The 436th Security Forces Squadron firing range complex, located at the south end of base, is off limits to all unauthorized personnel. Trespassing is illegal and dangerous due to scheduled and unscheduled weapons firing. If a valid entry is required, contact Security Forces Combat Arms Section by reporting to the main office in building 1403. For more information, call 677-6309 or 677-6310.

Consumable Turn-Ins
· Did you know? The Logistics Readiness Squadron is the Wing's focal point for returning/disposing all consumables ERRCD (XB3/NF1) items. IAW AFMAN23-122
paragraph 6.2.3.4.3, Customers will collect, retain, and return to the LRS/Materiel Management Activity all consumable items, serviceable or unserviceable having potential use or resale value. The LRS/Materiel Management Activity will reissue and redistribute these for repair and reuse, or transfer to DLADS as scrap. The LRS personnel will pick up all consumable turn-ins (Monday-Friday) from each Maintenance backshop. The returning activity will prepare and sign DD Form 1574 to accompany each item. Arts & Crafts Center
· Graduation 2014 Framing Special, through August 2014: Commemorate your achievement! · Breakfast Tournament, September 13, 7 a.m.: Join us for our Breakfast Tournament on September 13 at the Eagle Creek Golf Course. 7 a.m. shotgun start. Format is scramble - ABCD (computer pick), four player teams, 90% handicap, must play from white tees. Player of the Year points awarded. Must have a U.S.G.A. handicap. · Hunter Safety Education Courses - September 6 and 13, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. each day: Hunter Safety Education (HSE) is required to obtain a hunting license in Delaware and most other states and some foreign countries. The Adventure Quest team is here to provide you the education needed to get out and bag your first deer, turkey, goose, or other small game. Held in our modern training room right in the Outdoor Recreation Center, you'll experience 10 hours of class time taught by one of our certified HSE instructors, as well as live shooting at the Dover AFB Skeet Range. Finish the course with a passing score and you'll be issued your HSE certificate. The course is free but you must register online at www.fw.delaware.gov/Pages/FWPortal.aspx. Scroll to the bottom of the page and look for Hunter/Trapper Education Access. You must also complete a Liability Release for the shooting portion of the course and turn it into to Outdoor Recreation a minimum of 7 days prior to the course start date. The Landings

· The annual Retiree day at Dover Air Force Base will be held on Saturday, October 4th at the Landings Club. This is an opportunity for retirees to get up today information about their benefits and also to find out what facilities are available on Dover Air Force Base. Commissary
·  Dover AFB Case Lot Sale. Your Dover AFB Commissary will be having a Case Lot Sale on the following days:

Miscellaneous
· Effective August 1, 2014, the Commercial Gate (South Gate) outbound/exit lane will operate with new hours. The gate will be open for all traffic from 5:00AM to 7:30PM daily and will be closed from 7:30PM to 5:00AM daily. During open hours, all commercial vehicles must use this gate to depart from the base, and anyone operating a personal vehicle may also use this gate. During closed hours, all traffic must depart the base through the main gate; directional signs will be posted and commercial vehicles will use the far right lane only for departure. Please contact Security Forces at 677-2115 if you have any questions regarding the new gate hours.

· Planning for your Household Goods Pick up. The summer PCS season is upon us, being the busiest moving time of the year. Military members must be prepared. The first step to a smooth move is to come into our office as soon as you receive your orders; it is never too soon to start your move. The Joint Personal Property Shipping Office Northeast (JPPSO-NE) requires at least three to four weeks' notice in order to process your requested dates. They also need alternate dates if your primary dates are unavailable. Please give yourself a few days leeway in case of unforeseen circumstances. Starting early and being prepared is the best way to make your move as comfortable as possible.

· Toastmasters International is a non-profit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of meeting locations. Headquartered in Rancho Santa Margarita, California, the organization has more than 292,000 memberships in more than 14,350 clubs in 122 countries. Since 1924, Toastmasters International has helped people of all backgrounds become more confident in front of an audience.  Dover Free Speakers is A Toastmasters Club looking for individuals interested in improving their confidence as a leader and as a public speaker. We meet the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 5:30pm. If you are interested in Lean, Six Sigma or Project Management, this may be the degree for you. The BS in Industrial Technology is also online, for those needing flexibility in obtaining a degree.
