National Prayer Luncheon
The chapel is holding a National Prayer Luncheon beginning at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 22 at The Landings Club. Tickets are $5 and are on sale at the chapel in base housing or from Company Grade Officers Club representatives. The luncheon will feature a buffet and speaker Dr. Robert Wicks. Ruck March
The 436th Security Forces Squadron is hosting a six-mile ruck march to commemorate The Battle of Chosin Reservoir in honor of Korean War veterans. The march takes place 9 a.m. Feb. 25 at the Air Mobility Command Museum. The event is open to all branches of the armed forces. Uniform of the Day is ABU's, boots and a 30-pound rucksack. Hiring event
JPMorgan Chase and Naval District Washington are partnering to host a hiring
event for veterans, transitioning military members and wounded warriors 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 25 at the Naval Support Activity Bethesda in Bethesda, Maryland. The event features a coalition of major employers with a common goal to hire 100,000 veterans by 2020. This event is open to military members, veterans and dependent ID card holders. Wesley College registration
Wesley College is holding registration for Spring II classes. Classes satisfy CCAF requirements. For more information, call (302) 736-2372 or visit Building 261, room 302.

Wilmington University Spring class registration
Wilmington University is holding its registration for Spring Block II classes. Classes begin March 5 and can be used to fulfill Community College of the Air Force requirements, Wilmington University requirements or transfers to other institutions. Online courses are available as well as special military and dependant tuition rates. For more information, call 674-8726.

Scholarship
The Dover Air Force Base, Del., Officers' Spouses Club is sponsoring scholarships for graduating high school seniors, spouses and dependents pursuing post-high school academic or vocational programs. Dependents of both officer and enlisted members are eligible. Applications are available at most area high schools; the Dover AFB Education Office, Library, and Community Center; on-line at www.doverosc.com; or by written request to Dover OSC, Attn: Scholarship Committee, P.O. Box 02001, Dover AFB, DE 19902. Application deadline is 15 March 2012.

Airlifter photo contest
The Airlifter is holding a quarterly photo contest. Submissions will be judged by the public on the 436th Airlift Wing Facebook page. The top three "liked" photos will then be judged by the base photographers. The winner's photo will run in The Airlifter. At the end of the year, all of the winners will then be judged, and an annual winner will be selected to run on the front page. Survivor Benefit Plan

Force support squadron gift cards
Gift cards can be purchased and redeemed at nearly every force support squadron activity on any Air Force Base around the world. Gift cards are not redeemable for online purchases or in Army, Air Force Exchange Service Activities, the Commissary or for cash. For more information call 677-2883.

Vet Clinic
Visit the Dover Air Force Base Vet Clinic for regular vaccinations and sick call. The clinic also offers expanded services such as dental procedures, blood testing and prescription food. Wellness packages are also available for dogs and cats. For more information, call 677-5252.

Auto Hobby Shop allows walk-ins
The Auto Hobby Shop takes walk-ins for air conditioner services, alignments, oil changes, balance and rotation of tires and other minor repairs. They are also taking appointments for brake servicing, tune-ups, power steering, alternator & water pump replacement and other repairs. For more information, call 677-3249.

Traumatic Stress Response
A Traumatic Stress Response team has been established at Dover Air Force Base, Del. Anyone interested in becoming a peer support team member or would like more information about these services contact the mental health clinic at 677-2674 or email Capt. Nathan Smith at nathan.smith.39@us.af.mil.

Dover AFB Firing Range trespass warning
The 436th Security Forces Squadron Firing Range complex is off limits to all unauthorized personnel. If entry is required, contact the 436th SFS combat arms section by reporting to the main office in building 1403. For more information, call 677-6317.

After school care
Individuals who are military affiliated and have children attending Allen Frier School are eligible to use the Youth Center for school-age care. For eligibility and space information, call 677-6376.

Online language classes
The Dover Air Force Base, Del., Library now offers Transparent Language Onlineā„¢. The program includes pronunciation, speech, grammar, writing and vocabulary building lessons for more than 80 languages. The program is accessible via the Internet and is available to active duty, Air National Guard, reservists, retirees and their family members. AF civilian employees and contractors able to use an AF library are also eligible. All users must register in person. For more information, call 677-3992.

Survivor Benefit Plan
Service members with dependants are automatically covered by the Survivor Benefit Plan at a maximum level while on active duty. For more information, call Carl Barnes at 677-4608.

Eagle Heights Housing availability
Housing in Eagle Heights is accepting applications for housing. For more information, call (302) 678-3603.

IVA Office
The Installation Voter Assistance Office ensures voting rights for active-duty service members, their families and civilians with authorized access to Dover Air Force Base, Del. It provides numerous services to voters, including information, forms and registration assistance. The IVA office is located on the third floor of Building 262 in Room 311, and is open from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. For more information, call 302-677-4369 or email Dover.vote@us.af.mil.

Hap Arnold Grant
Under its General Henry H. Arnold Education Grant Program, the Air Force Aid Society awards $2,000 in educational grants to selected applicants. The program is available to dependents of active duty, Title 10 members on extended active duty, Title 32 members performing full-time active duty, retirees, retired reservists with 20 or more qualifying years of service, and deceased Air Force members. Spouses, residing stateside, of active duty and Title 10 members on extended active duty, and surviving spouses of deceased members, are also eligible candidates. Shuttle Bus Service for Lodging Guests
Shuttle bus service is available for lodging guests only from Building 800 to the passenger terminal and from the passenger terminal to Building 800 as manning permits. Service is Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - noon and 1 - 4 p.m. (holidays excluded). No other passengers or stops will be authorized. Must be a lodging guest to receive service. PLAYpass
The PLAYpass program offers single Airmen returning from deployment and families of deployed members a chance to receive special discounts and rewards to help make their deployment easier. Library story time
Story time is scheduled for 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Wednesday's at the library. The event is for children ages 3-5 years old. For more information, call 677-3992.

Bowling Special
A Two for Tuesday bowling special is being held at Eagle Lanes Bowling alley. Buy one game at a regular price and get one free. Adult's shoe rental is $2 and children's shoe rental is $1.25. For more information, call 677-3950.

Skeet Shooting
The skeet range is open: Wednesday 2 - 6 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., Sunday 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. The range has three skeet fields and is open to all Department of Defense ID cardholders. For more information, call 677-3959.

Angler Fishing
Outdoor recreation sells live bait including Canadian night crawlers, wax worms, green worms, premium squid stripes, finger mullet, box squid, trout worms, premium grass shrimp, blood worms and meal works. For more information, call 677-3959.

ID card appointment scheduler
ID card appointments online can be made online at http://appointments.cac.navy.mil/appointment/default.aspx. All ID card appointments are in 30 minute increments. For more information, call 677-4584.

Eagle Lanes birthday parties
