Senior Airman Christopher Ittner is responsible for providing flightline support for maintenance and operational requirements for 13 C-17 Globemaster III aircraft valued at $2.6 billion. He complies with time compliance technical orders, and replaces, inspects, and modifies engine system components. Ittner is the face of the 736th AMXS, and exemplifies what an aircraft maintainer should be. His keen attention to detail has proven critical to overall mission success with a mission capable rate of 91.4 percent for fiscal year 2011. He has received multiple awards for his professionalism and system knowledge with only three years of experience on the C-17. Furthermore, Ittner was hand-selected to attend a wing stand up conference with the 436th Airlift Wing commander to give insight on the C-17 aircraft effectiveness. Ittner is the most professional, mature and courteous Airman I have had the pleasure to work beside, and I am proud he has received this recognition.
