Enlisted All Call: Great Expectations Published Jan. 16, 2019 436th Public Affairs DOVER AIR FORCE BASE, Del. -- To wrap up 2018 and start the New Year off right, Command Chief Master Sgt. Anthony Green conducted his first Enlisted All Call Jan. 15. “I wanted to give all the enlisted Airmen a bigger picture and let them know what is happening, not just at Dover but AMC and Air Force as a whole,” Green said. “They all have a part in a much bigger puzzle.” Green introduced the wing’s new Mission, Vision and Priorities, or MVPs, to the audience and encouraged them to understand the components and see where they fit into achieving the Vision of the Wing. “We have a lot of changes and exciting things happening, and I think it is a great time to be in the Air Force,” Green said during his the Enlisted All Call. He spoke about where the Air Force is going in the future and how Dover Airmen tie into that future. According to the Secretary of the Air Force, Heather Wilson, the Air Force needs 386 operational squadrons to be healthy enough to really “get after” and make an impact on the plan laid out in the National Defense Strategy. He gave the Airmen an inside look at a few large construction projects that were accomplished in 2018, as well as some that are currently in the works, such as the new base elementary and middle schools, a new aircraft maintenance hangar and a new dormitory campus. “Sometimes, as hard as we try, information doesn’t filter all the way down, so I wanted to make sure each Airman knew what was happening on Dover, what we have coming up and how Dover fits into the bigger picture,” Green said. Chief finished up by sharing his expectations for Dover Airmen: 1. Be professional. “Being a professional takes dedication and sacrifice,” Green explained. “But there are also expectations, and we as Airmen, as a team, we believe in our core values. If we followed those core values, we wouldn’t have some of the problems we have today because each person who raised their hand to serve this country deserves respect.” 2. Be “dang good” at what you do. “Continue to strive to be the best at your trade because the Air Force has invested in you. In a time of war, that is not the time to hone your skills. It should come naturally by that point,” Green said. “That also means to be the best supervisor and leader because Airmen deserve the best.” 3. Be proud. “Be proud of what we have going on at Dover. Sometimes, we get caught up in the grind, and it could seem like a job. But collectively, as a team, we have a significant impact in not just what we have going on at Dover, but they play a part in what AMC brings to the fight and what the Air Force does in support of our country.”
