March's spring weather has ushered in a new era of competitve and energetic volleyball at Dover Air Force Base, Del. There were no tools on the floor when the 436th Maintenance Operations Squadron and the 736th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron battled it out with explosive maintainer-on-maintainer athleticism. The game, which took place at the Fitness Center March 17, brought together two teams that are sure to be a fierce rivalry for the rest of the season. Both teams came into the game 1-0 with decisive victories the week before. The 736 AMXS grounded the 436 MOS in the first game 25-8 with high-flying serves and great teamwork. However, 436 MOS didn't give up and came back to win the second game 25-23. By the last game, the 736 AMXS realized they were pulling night shift, so in a rush for time; they ended the match with a 7-0 streak. The 436 MOS had crashed and burned. Both teams show a promising future this season. The game brought the 736 AMXS into 1st place and dropped 436 MOS into 3rd place. The 736 AMXS is already looking forward to the playoffs while the 436 MOS is back to the drawing board.
