An Air Mobility Command Fuel, Energy, and Environment campaign is at Dover in July 1 - 31.

The FEE campaign is an approach to find ways to improve fuel, energy and environmental conservation and to save resources. The approved IDEA can also generate a monetary award up to $10,000 for ideas producing tangible savings. In addition, any member who submits a FEE idea will receive an incentive gift designed from 100 percent recycled material.

The goal is to see how many AMC bases can produce winning conservation ideas. Energy availability and management is critical to Air Force operational readiness and the Air Force has developed focused measures to reduce resource consumption and waste generation.

"For every FEE initiative that is submitted by an AMC base member they will receive a gift made out of 100 percent recycled material," said Donna Lamos, 436th Force Support Squadron IDEA program analyst. "We are really looking forward to all the interesting ideas that will be submitted."

The program is looking for initiatives in aviation and ground fuel efficiencies, facility energy conservation, renewable energy sources, water conservation measures, cultural change and related awareness campaigns.

"Anyone wishing to submit an IDEA for FEE can either hop onto the Air Force Portal and click on the IDEA link, or call the manpower office at 677-6591," said Ms. Lamos. "Once they submit it, we will work with it from there. The goal for Dover is to have each squadron submit at least one idea to the program."

While the program's focus is on conservation of fuel, energy and the environment, it also reduces the cost of Air Force projects by going green. Normally, energy conservation month is in November, but the program was slated for July in the hopes that members would submit ideas they already had.

"We have brilliant people here with great ideas for conservation," said Mike Prystajko, 436th FSS manpower chief. "This is an outstanding program and we hope to capture many good ideas with it. We have energy savings throughout the year, and this program focuses on making sure people get their ideas on conservation heard."
