Action Line: Auto Hobby Shop Published Aug. 3, 2009 436th AW Public Affairs Dover Air Force Base, Del. -- Q: I have a concern about the Auto Hobby Shop relocation. It came to my attention that management is talking about not having a spray booth in the new Auto Hobby Shop. I've used the old one and enjoyed it, and I look forward to using another spray booth. Are they really not going to put a spray booth in the new Auto Hobby Shop? A: Thank you for using the Auto Hobby Shop, and you'll be happy to know that the spray/paint booth is currently projected in the scope of work for the new Auto Hobby facility. The spray/paint booth will be available for use, provided all environmental compliance requirements are met. Unfortunately, due to the scheduled demolition of the current facility this fall, the Auto Hobby Shop will be closed until construction of the new facility is completed. The new Arts and Crafts/Auto Hobby center is scheduled to open December 2010, and will be located next to the new Outdoor Recreation Center.
