The Commissary will close early July 26th at 4 p.m. and when it reopens on July 28th, it will feature a few changes.

The Commissary is going to install new shelving and will change some of its layout features, including expanding shelves to make room for more products.

"We hate to inconvenience customers," said Theresa Carabello. "But we can do our job more quickly and efficiently if we can close the store to tear down shelving, move it around, widen or change aisles if necessary, and restock. We think overall customers will find they have a better shopping experience when the store reopens."

These changes will compliment the new freezers the Commissary began installing in March.

"The freezers are completed," said Mrs. Carabello. "There are some minor internal things being touched up, but they are up and running. We always strive to provide the best quality service to our customers. These changes will help us provide more selection and improve the shopping experience."

The new shelves will allow the Commissary to carry a larger assortment of products.

"It's great that they want to make things better and more convenient for their customers," said Senior Airman Dennis Weiss, 436th Force Support Squadron fitness specialist. "I've worked at grocery stores before, and it's always good to see when they're looking out for the best interest of the customer."
