CES dominates OSS 25 - 0 Published Nov. 12, 2008 By Staff Sgt. Chad Padgett 436th AW Public Affairs Dover Air Force Base, Del -- The 2nd ranked 436th Civil Engineer Squadron intramural flag football team defeated the 436th Operational Support Squadron 25-0 Nov. 6. The game started off on the wrong foot for OSS when they were unable to get a first down and had to punt the ball. On the next play, Paul Jordon, CES wide receiver, caught a long pass in the end zone for the first touchdown of the game. "People weren't getting open, the other team was getting through the line, we just played bad today," said Randy Ward, OSS center. "We had a lot of chances to catch the ball and just didn't. It really was just a bad night." The next set of plays would be déjà vu for OSS as they were held back again and forced to punt, only to have CES throw a deep pass, on the next play, to Patrick Ogborn for a touchdown. "We're starting to come together at the right time. We were a little slow out of the blocks Now we're starting to come together and average 20 points a game," said Arvy Peters, CES coach. An interception on the next set of plays would put the ball back in CES hands and allow another touchdown when the quarterback handed the ball off to Ogborn who threw to L'Vaughn Carlisle, CES wide receiver, in the end zone for CES' third touchdown in the first half of the game. Ogborn would score one last touchdown in the second half of the game, giving CES the 25-0 victory over OSS. "This team is a lot closer than other teams I've coached, so it's coming together. It's been a great season so far, hopefully we can keep it going all the way to the championship," said Arvy.
