The 436th Communications Squadron intramural football team had hoped their short game would sneak them past the 436th Medical Group, but they found themselves coming up short 28-21 Oct. 22.

"We had a couple good short plays mixed in there, so we were better than last game," said Eric Hawley, CS coach. "We just had a hard time containing them on defense, they're good runners."

This included Joseph Wagner, MDG wide receiver, who caught a pass half way down the field, slipped past three CS members and scored a touchdown putting the score 21-7.

Touchdowns by Russell Graham, CS wide receiver, and Gary Stines, CS safety and wide receiver, would start a swift turn around in momentum.

"The quarterback was making some really good plays. I was turning around and the ball was already there in my hands," said Stines.

However, another half-field pass to Wagner would end the game 28-21.
