what can be done about housing maintenance problems? Published Oct. 23, 2008 436th Airlift Wing Public Affairs DOVER AIR FORCE BASE, Del. -- Q: Our back door leaks, and we have informed Pinnacle of the problem, but they are apparently waiting on parts. While they are waiting our floor is being damaged. I don't understand why the Housing maintenance won't take care of small problems now that can lead to big problems later on. A: Although I understand your condition has been repaired, I'd like to follow up on the reason for the delay. A series of work orders for the leak you described resulted in Pinnacle and Hunt accomplishing a thorough review of all base housing. They identified 411 houses with leaking back doors like yours. Therefore, the contractor is working under warranty to rapidly correct this issue. They are repairing four houses per day and have approximately 250 occupied units left to repair. The remaining units are being repaired prior to occupancy. The scheduled completion of the project is within 60 days. Again I want to personally thank you for bringing up your concerns and taking action to improve our community!
