The new CT scanner is started up to ensure it is functioning properly at the Armed Forces Medical Examiner System, Dover Air Force Base, Delaware, April 29, 2020. The new CT scanner, which was installed in the AFMES autopsy suite in April, produce higher-quality images and improved information for medical examiners by increasing to a 80 centimeter field of view and adding dual energy capability which allows the medical examiners to more efficiently accomplish the AFMES mission for post-mortem imaging.
