Prospective Coast Guard rescue swimmers undergo several different aspects of Aviation Survival Technician training aboard Coast Guard Aviation Technical Training Center Elizabeth City, North Carolina, Dec. 18-19, 2019. ASTs are highly-conditioned rescue and survival experts, as well as highly-capable aviation life support equipment technicians, and are trained to operate in a variety of maritime environments.
