Fregattenkapitan (Commander Senior Grade) Heiko Rottmann, Captain of the FGS Frankfurt Am Main (A1412 - German Navy), on the bridge of his ship in the Baltic Sea on Monday 03 September 2012, explains what it is to be captain of a ship and what are the benefits of participating into an international exercise. Exercise DANEX-NOCO 2012 is a combined Danish-German naval exercise with 15 participating nations and nearly 50 ships operating off the Danish coast from 3 to 12 September. The aim of the exercise is to allow the units to experience and train within a multinational naval force. In addition to the ships there are helicopters and aircraft from Denmark, Germany, USA, France and Sweden, as well as a large number of other Navy units. Also available in high definition.
