Linked In: Crisis Response Marines Test Unique Inflight Communication Techniques From Spain
U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Europe and Africa
Feb. 20, 2015 | 0:49
A team of communication specialists from Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Crisis Response-Africa tested their ability to securely communicate while in flight from Moron Air Base, Spain, Feb. 20, 2015. The Marines used a satellite communications system and a special antenna within their KC-130 to establish a command and control node aboard the aircraft. The capability will allow future mission commanders to receive continuous mission-critical updates while transiting to the objective. Interview: Sgt. Nathaniel Ford.
