Building Dedication Judd-Metcalfe Fitness Center and Bernstein Pool Dedication

Families, friends and paratroopers of the 173rd Airborne Brigade dedicated the Fitness Center at Caserma Del Din July 8, 2015 as the Judd-Metcalfe Fitness Center and it's pool as the Bernstein Pool. The facilities are named for three paratroopers from the brigade killed in combat and posthumously awarded the Silver Star for valor: 1st Lt. Donald Judd in Vietnam in 1967, Sgt. 1st Class Daniel Metcalfe in Afghanistan in 2012 and 1st Lt. David Bernstein in Iraq in 2003. The ceremony was attended by families of those paratroopers as well.
