Signal Tower Demolition Time-lapse
Visual Information Division, Camp Zama, Japan
Sept. 19, 2018 | 0:45
This time-lapse video shows a 301-foot tall antenna tower, located outside the U.S. Army Japan headquarters building on Camp Zama, Japan, being taken down
piece-by-piece during a project that started Oct. 2, 2018. Original construction on the tower began in 1952, and was completed on Sept. 23, 1953. The 65-year-old tower
supported parabolic and VHF antenna, which are no longer in use, so it was slated for demolition. (U.S. Army Garrison Japan Video by Staff Luis Casale Released)
