The Fort Bliss Replacement Hospital Project Overview

Listen to and watch as our district Medical Program Manager Peter Matar speaks about the replacement William Beaumont Army Medical Center. This is a 1.1 million-square-foot world-class health-care facility with 10 operating rooms, 269 exam rooms, 30 primary and specialty clinics, 16 intensive care rooms, 135 patient beds and 8 labor and delivery rooms. There are many things that went into the construction of this replacement hospital to include 13,050 cubic yards of site concrete, over 252 miles of pipe, 32 elevators, 2,800 fiber optic lights, 3 million pounds of ductwork, and four generators that can serve the facility for up to five days.
