F-100 Super Sabre Dedication to Retired Major General Shepperd

The Air National Guard dedicated an F-100 Super Sabre static display to Retired Major General Don Shepperd, on Tuesday September 13, outside the Air National Guard Readiness Center, on Joint Base Andrews, MD. Major General Shepperd was one of many combat experienced pilots to fly such an aircraft under the call sign, MISTY, during the Vietnam War. This group of highly-skilled pilots were integral in the successes of eliminating enemy positions during the war.
