Intro:
More than 50 members of Topeka’s 190th Air Refueling Wing, Kansas Air National Guard, returned home today (june 23, 2017), from a two-month deployment supporting U.S. strategic objectives throughout the Pacific.

Throughout the deployment, airmen provided critical in-flight refueling with the wing's KC-135R Stratotanker aircraft. The personnel were assigned to Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, and staged out of bases from Alaska to Japan and as far south as Australia. Throughout the deployment - which started in April and ended in June - the wing flew more than 150 sorties and provided u.s. and partner nation aircraft with more than 475,000 gallons of fuel. In addition to the Pacific, the 190th currently has members deployed in the middle east supporting operations against ISIS, as well as members in Europe supporting Operation Atlantic Resolve.
