KAMAKURA, Japan (Dec. 5, 2021) A video highlight of the Great Buddha of Kamakura (Kamakura Daibutsu), one of the largest bronze statues in Japan. Including the base, it is over four stories tall and weighs over 100 tons. According to temple records, the statue dates from around 1252, during the Kamakura period, which it is named after.
