Disposal of The K5
15th Marine Expeditionary Unit
March 12, 2024 | 1:43
U.S. Marines and Royal Thai Armed Forces with the Thailand Mine Action Center dispose of unexploded ordnance collected from Thailand’s K5 mine belt during Exercise Cobra Gold at Kap Choeng, Surin province, Thailand, March 6, 2024. Royal Thai and U.S. Armed Forces train TMAC students in explosive ordnance disposal to advance TMAC’s mission of becoming landmine free. This partnership is aligned with the U.S. Department of Defense’s Humanitarian Mine Action Program, which assists partnered nations affected by landmines, explosive remnants of war, and the hazardous effects of unexploded ordnance.
