Aviation Summer Camps return to the Air Mobility Command Museum at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware in 2021.

The museum’s educational summer camps will be held in new classrooms for children ages 9-15. Those who participate in the camp will also apply their knowledge in science, technology, engineering, art and math as they learn about the history and science of aviation. The class also includes a T-shirt and a flight in a Dover AFB Aero Club aircraft.

“The museum team is excited to be able to provide kids the opportunity to attend the camp again,” said John Taylor, AMC Museum director. “The camp has been a huge success with local youth and the community, and our 2021 camp will be better than ever.”

Camp dates are from June 14-18, June 28-July 2, July 26-30 and Aug. 9-13. Classes are from 8:30-11:30 a.m. for ages 9-11 and 12:30-3:30 p.m. for ages 12-15. The cost for each class is $150, and enrollment is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Museum personnel have taken all recommended steps to mitigate the transmission of COVID-19, including social distancing, sanitizing all touch points between classes and encouraging the use of hand sanitizers throughout the day.
