Dover AFB inclement weather information for Jan 28 - 30

DOVER AIR FORCE BASE, Del. --  

Team Dover,

Due to expected inclement weather with significant snowfall, the base will implement the following reporting procedures beginning at 1700 Jan. 28, 2022, and ending on 1800 Jan. 30, 2022:

  • 1700-2359 Jan. 28: Only Mission Essential Level 1 and Emergency Essential personnel will report for duty.
  • 0001 Jan. 29 until 0259 Jan. 30: Only Emergency Essential Personnel will report for duty.
  • 0300-1159 Jan. 30: Only Mission Essential Level 1 and Emergency Essential personnel will report for duty.
  • 1200-1800 Jan. 30: Only Mission Essential Level 1, Mission Essential Level 2, and Emergency Essential personnel will report for duty.
  • 1800 Jan. 30: Normal operations will resume unless specified otherwise.

Please talk to your supervisor if you have any questions or have any issues safely coming to work. Maximize telework, if possible. Weather and Safety or Liberal Leave is also authorized, as appropriate. We ask that everyone stay off the roads to allow for teams to remove snow and ice. Stay safe!

  • The Medical Group, MPF, Child Development Center, ITT, Outdoor Recreation, and Airman and Family Readiness Center will be closed, as usual, during the weekend.
  • The Patterson Dining Facility will remain open for normal business hours, as follows: Monday-Friday, Breakfast 6:00am-9:00am, Lunch 10:30am -1:30pm, Dinner 4:30pm-6:30pm and Saturday-Sunday 7:30am-6pm. For any questions, call 302-677-3926.
  • The Fitness Center will be closed from 1700 Jan. 28 until 1800 Jan. 30, and will re-open Jan. 31 at 0530. The Fitness Center front desk can be reached at 302-677-3962 during normal business hours/operations.
  • The Commissary and Base Exchange will close at 1700 Jan. 28. The Main Base Shoppette and housing Express will close at the conclusion of their normal business hours Jan. 28. In addition, the Shoppette gas pumps will be closed and without 24/7 access. These facilities will resume normal operating hours Jan. 30. 
     
  • Eagle Lanes Bowling Center and FREDs will be closed from 1700 Jan. 28 thru Jan. 30. They will resume normal operating hours on Jan. 31. Golf Course will be closed Jan. 29-30. Pro Shop will re-open normal hours on Jan. 31. Course will remain closed until free of snow. The Auto Hobby Shop will be closed Jan. 29.
