The event featured the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition Women’s Health Screenings Van. The van offered thorough preventive breast exams to women with referrals and appointments. The Mammography Van has been to Dover AFB for informational purposes , but this is the first time to provide exams.“The intent of this initiative is to increase awareness of breast cancer prevention and make it convenient for women to get an exam,” said Laura Kantor-Chupp, 436th Mission Support Group first state community partnership manager. “Instead of having to take one to two hours out of their day for an appointment downtown, women can quickly get this done right here on base.”The event also featured information booths from several on-base and off-base agencies.
