"I think we all get along, and that helps us to play well together," 436th MDG player-coach Rhonda Russell said. "We have a lot of fun together, we like being around each other and that helps us play good volleyball." Mozingo slammed home three kills, served four service points, and had two blocks, while Dela Calzada added three kills to lead the 436th MDG to a victory in Game 1. In Game 2, Mozingo, along with Andrew Saphore and Keith Eberhardt, provided solid hitting to lead the 436th MDG to a sweep. "He is a vital part of our team and he plays very well. Dela Calzada is just an overall good player. He has been on our team the past three years and he is a very good asset." For the 436th CS, it is a matter of searching for their first win of the season. The 436 CS player-coach Don DeWitt said he thinks victory is just around the corner. "We're getting better as the season goes along," DeWitt said. "We basically don't have our chemistry yet. We need to keep talking on the court, learning each other's game. We can improve. We have the talent; all we need is to learn to play together. If we do that, we have enough skill, we can go far." Russell said her team will try to keep things going as they have been for the rest of the season. "We have got to just keep doing what we've been doing," Russell said. "We need to keep our focus and not make simple mistakes. We need to keep having fun. If we do those things, I think we'll go far."
