Members of Team Dover departed for Gulfport, Miss., Dec. 7, 2011 for the much anticipated Operational Readiness Inspection. Their mission is to prove they have the skills and knowledge to safely and effectively operate in a wartime environment.

More than 650 people from the 436th and 512th Airlift Wings will combine with 62 members from the 433rd AW from Lackland AFB, Texas, to stand up the 121st Air Expeditionary Wing for the ORI.

Over the course of the seven day inspection, Team Dover's knowledge of their duties and ability to survive and operate will be tested. They will face scenarios designed to test their mettle and nerve under fire, and to see how they keep the mission going.

Team Dover members will face many challenges, but they can be overcome them by relying on their training, skills and knowledge they learned in the numerous exercises leading up to the ORI.
