The Air Mobility Command Fuels, Energy, and Environment idea campaign, or FEE program, has arrived at Dover Air Force Base, Del., for the month of October. It is offered through the Innovative Development through Employee Awareness program. The FEE program is an approach to find ways to improve fuel, energy and environmental conservation and to save valuable Air Force resources.

Any FEE idea submitted needs to have this special identifier on the subject line 'AMC2011FEECAMPAIGN' to qualify for a special incentive gift from AMC. The approved IDEA can also generate an award up to $10,000 for ideas producing tangible savings.

The goal is to see how many AMC bases can produce winning conservation ideas. Energy availability and management are critical to Air Force operational readiness and the Air Force has developed focused measures to reduce resource consumption and waste generation.

The program is looking for initiatives in aviation and ground fuel efficiencies, facility energy conservation, renewable energy sources, water conservation measures, cultural change and related awareness campaigns.

AMC will provide military and civilians submitting eligible campaign ideas a special promotional item for sharing their vision of doing business smarter, more efficient and more effective.

"This campaign is aligned with Air Force's Energy Awareness Month and is soliciting Airmen for new initiatives related to fuels, energy and environment conservation," said Donna Lamos, the IDEA program manager with the 436th Force Support Squadron. "We are really looking forward to all the interesting and realistic ideas that will be submitted."

"We have an exceptional team at Dover Air Force Base with progressive ideas on energy conservation," said Mike Prystajko, the chief of manpower and organization with the 436th FSS. "This is an outstanding program that allows those ideas to come to the forefront and be recognized and potentially implemented Air Force wide. The FEE program is the perfect venue to capture those great ideas."

Anyone wishing to submit an IDEA for FEE can either do so through the Air Force Portal by clicking on the IDEA link or by calling the manpower office at 677-6591. Once submitted, the IDEA office will work with it from there. The goal for Dover AFB is to have each squadron submit at least one idea to the program.

"Don't be shy to submit an idea," said Tech. Sgt. Lorraine Kmiec, the alternate IDEA program manager with the 436th FSS. "You'll be surprised how much money your idea can save and how much you can earn from submitting it."

All eligible ideas will need to be in the IDEA program before Oct. 31, 2011, to be accepted for consideration. Remember to include "AMC2011FEECAMPAIGN" in the title line. For more information, call Donna Lamos, 677-6591, or Tech. Sgt. Lorraine Kmiec at 677-5513.
