Air Mobility Command announced Team Dover as the winner of the AMC-level Commander-in-Chief's Installation Excellence Award. Team Dover will be awarded $200,000 by AMC and will move on to the Air Force-level competition.

The AF-level CINC IEA award, which recognizes outstanding and innovative efforts of the people who operate and maintain U.S. military installations, is presented annually to one installation from each branch of service, along with a $1 million incentive award to invest in quality-of-life projects.

"Congratulations Team Dover! This AMC-level award is a great achievement. Team Dover's exceptional work ethic, professionalism and enthusiasm carried the day," said Col. Mark Camerer, commander of the 436th Airlift Wing. "It's an honor to be a part of this remarkable team!"

Dover AFB took first in 2008 and second in 2010, which brought more than $1.5 million to the base. This money was used for projects such as solar-powered crosswalk lights, the new Liberty Park and new running tracks with workout equipment.

Inspectors from around the Air Force will be visiting Dover AFB in January to evaluate the base once again for the highest honor a base can receive.
