Golf course looks to score hole-in-one with test drive program Published Aug. 10, 2010 By Airman 1st Class Matthew Hubby 436th Airlift Wing Public Affairs DOVER AIR FORCE BASE, Del. -- The Dover Air Force Base Eagle Creek golf course is holding a special program Aug. 1 - 31. The Test Drive program is giving away $100 a day to lucky winners who find a signature ball in their driving rand buckets. These buckets can be gained by eating at the 19th Hole, King Pin Café and Grottos Pizza. With a purchase of at least $3 the customer will receive a 2-sided golf card which they can redeem at the golf course for a bucket of balls that might contain the prize winning ball. "We really hope people will come out and hit a few buckets," said Patrick Keefe, 436th Force Support Squadron golf professional. "We're really excited to have this program starting up in august. We'd really like to see more people out here at the golf course." The goal of the program is to get more people interested in the sport of golf, as well as show case the many programs and services the golf course offers, such as a driving range and lessons to improve player performance. There is also a pro shop where members can purchase or rent equipment to play a few holes. The golf card also acts as a 50 percent discount on golf lessons at the limit of one per customer. So far, the winners of the event are: Senior Airman Luke Pretulak, 436 Aerial Port Squadron Staff Sgt. Edgar Serano, 436 Maintenance Squadron Senior Airman Jacob Schlemmer, 436 Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Bud Jarboe, retired Tech. Sgt. Damon Huddleston, 436 APS Tech. Sgt.
