Being a 'card carrying' member Published Feb. 5, 2009 DOVER AIR FORCE BASE, Del. -- Q: I had been a member of the NCO club since I sewed on my fourth stripe in 1954. I never dreamed of discontinuing my membership. I decided to cancel my credit card that the club requires of its members. I would still like to be a member but find it unacceptable that I have to have their credit card. Since canceling my card, I have often wished that I could go to the club. I would like to suggest a membership card, renewable at certain periods of time, for members to gain entrance to the club. A: First, thank you for your service to our Nation and for your half century of support for Air Force Clubs. Air Force Clubs now offer an option for those who do not want to have a credit card account associated with their membership. The "Card Choice" program allows current and prospective Club members to choose between a Proprietary Club Card (not a credit card) and a MasterCard account as part of being an Air Force Club member. I encourage you to stop by or contact The Landings Club at 677-6024 for more information.
