The Team Dover career assistance advisor is scheduled to host a Basic Military Training Instructor application briefing in the 3rd Airlift Squadron auditorium, Feb. 2 at 10 a.m.

This briefing comes in response to an Air Education and Training Command announcement that officials are seeking more than 200 Airmen for immediate MTI assignment, said Senior Master Sgt. Tangie Ulrich, the 436th Airlift Wing CAA.

With Basic Military Training increasing to an 8.5-week training program, there is a massive influx of Airmen and more MTIs needed to train them, said Sergeant Ulrich.

According to an AETC news release, the MTI corps is searching for highly-motivated Airmen to join their ranks at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. Members identified for the Fiscal 2009 Non-Commissioned Officer Retraining Program are allowed to apply for MTI duty.

To apply for this MTI duty, interested Airmen will need to prepare now by gathering the following documents:

· Last five Enlisted Performance Reports

· Obtain a complete AF Form 422 Physical Profile

· Call Base Multimedia to schedule a full length photograph wearing short-sleeve blues, including all ribbons, accouterments and duty badge.

· Interview with the installation psychologist for behavioral analysis

· Take MMPI and Shipley Exams (Mental Health section)

· Obtain a commander's recommendation letter

· Provide a copy of their vMPF Record Review Data and copy of past Physical Training scores from AF Portal

"AFPC will consider all applicants regardless of time on station," said Sergeant Ulrich. "Interested Airmen should prepare their documents right away and attend the briefing Feb. 2."
