This year's ball celebrates the Air Force Reserve's 60th anniversary. The Reserve was established April 14, 1948 as a separate service. "This is the absolute premier event of the year," said Capt. "This is a joint-venture between active-duty and Reserves," she added. "A lot of planning has gone into this to ensure everyone who attends will have a great time." The featured events for the evening include: -- Complimentary child care will be available for Pinnacle residents for children 3-to 12-years-old. -- A video clip review celebrating the heritage of the Air Force Reserve. -- Live music from the U.S. Air Force Heritage of America Band, Blue Aces. -- The guest speaker is Lt. Gen. Charles Stenner, Jr., Chief of Air Force Reserve. "Servicemembers attending are required to wear the proper attire for the evening," said Capt. Marnee Losurdo, Air Force ball committee member. "Enlisted members can wear their semi-formal uniform or mess dress and officers are required to wear their mess dress. "Civilians should wear black tie or tuxedo for males and tea or floor-length evening dresses for females," she said. Aug. 22 is the last day to purchase tickets.
