Base movie theater improvements Published July 10, 2008 436th AW Public Affairs DOVER AIR FORCE BASE, Del. -- Q: I visit your base theater frequently, and for the last three weeks the lights have not worked in the men's bathroom, and some of your employees don't know how to operate the equipment. Your movie theater seems to be going downhill in a hurry. A: Thank you for your comment regarding the movie theater. The restroom lights have been repaired and are working properly. New associates were recently hired, and their training is now complete. New policies were instituted to ensure that all new hires are properly trained to serve theater patrons in a timely manner. You should see an improvement in service the next time you visit. I'm also happy to report that the Army and Air Force Exchange Service and the 436th Airlift Wing have agreed to conduct a joint project to upgrade the seats, carpet, snack bar, sound system and video system. Restrooms will also be renovated as part of this effort. This three to four month project will begin in the fall after the high-traffic summer season. Our goal is to have a theater we can be proud of.
