For 365 days a year, Team Dover Airmen and civilians work relentlessly to keep the airlift mission at Dover AFB thriving. But for one night, Airmen and their families took a break from the mission to reflect upon their accomplishments from the past year and recognized their highest performing members.

The 2015 436th Airlift Wing Annual Awards Ceremony was held Feb. 5, 2016, at the Rollins Center inside of Dover Downs, in Dover, Delaware. This year's theme was "Going for the Gold" as more than 45 nominees were selected for awards in 13 different categories.

Maj. Gen. Jerry Martinez, Air Mobility Command director of operations, was invited to be the guest speaker at the ceremony. Martinez was commissioned in 1986 as a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and is a command pilot with more than 4,000 hours in the C-17A, C-5B, C-141B and KC-135R aircraft.
