Multi-cultural expo celebrates diversity

A multi-cultural expo was hosted at The Landings Club at Dover Air Force Base, Del., Aug. 26, 2011, in celebration of Team Dover's diversity.

Sixteen booths were set up to represent different nations by volunteers from various squadrons around base, featuring native food, cultural displays and costumes.

There were four live presentations, including square dancing, Native American song and dance and a tradition Bolivian dance.

Four awards were handed out, one selected by popular vote, and three awarded by judges. The winners were:

1st Place - Thailand booth, organized by members of the Arts and Crafts Center

2nd Place - Jamaica booth, organized by members of the 436th Medical Squadron mental health flight

3rd Place - Guam booth, organized by members of the 436th Aerial Port Squadron

People's Choice - Korea booth, organized by members of the 436th Civil Engineer Squadron
