The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds Demonstration Team helped to "re-blue" Team Dover Airmen through a re-enlistment ceremony June 19.

Lt. Col. Greg Thomas, U.S. Air Force Aerial Demonstration Squadron commander and leader, administered the re-enlistment oath for 16 Airmen.

"I'm excited about this once in a lifetime opportunity," said Senior Airman Jenny Taegel, 436th Dental Squadron dental technician. "I'm glad that I'm re-enlisting because I really want to serve the Air Force."

In more than 20 years of service, he never would have imagined he would have the chance to meet the Thunderbirds in person, said Tech. Sgt. Steven Poore, 512th Maintenance Squadron Isochronal dock maintenance mechanic.

"I think the Thunderbirds are fantastic and I'm glad to have been given this opportunity," he said.

The sergeant said he does not remember if this is his fourth or fifth re-enlistment ceremony, but he remembers the reason as to why he serves every time.

"I'm re-enlisting for the same reason as any other Airman standing beside me, I love my country and I'm proud to serve the best Air Force in the world," said Sergeant Poore.
