Making Dover AFB a safe place to live and play

Our privatized military housing communities and unaccompanied-Airman dormitory campuses have always been considered safe places to live and play. To ensure those traditions continue we are taking new measures to ensure we are aware of circumstances that might jeopardize inherent security.

Beginning Feb. 7, we will implement a new procedure requiring each housing and dorm resident to complete an Air Force Form 4422, "Sex Offender Disclosure and Acknowledgement," and an AF Form 4422, supplemental information form.

This new policy establishes a disclosure process for every person living in, assigned to, or applying for privatized or unaccompanied housing, regardless of military or civilian status.

To maintain our residents' morale and welfare the Housing Management Office and Airman dorm leaders will implement this policy by distributing these forms and ensuring all affected personnel complete the required documentation.

These forms will be sent to each individual household with instructions on how to complete and submit the documents to the appropriate agencies.

Security forces will perform initial background checks on all adults residing in privatized housing and dormitories. Follow-on random checks will be periodically conducted to validate data.

For more information, call the housing office at 677-6969 or the Airman dorm leader office at 677-2074. We appreciate your support as we work to protect the safety and security of our privatized military housing communities and unaccompanied-Airman dormitory campuses.
