Photo story: Auto Hobby Shop Published Feb. 7, 2012 By Steve Kotecki 436th Airlift Wing Public Affairs DOVER AIR FORCE BASE, Del. -- The 436th Force Support Squadron Auto Hobby Shop here, which opened in June, 2011, offers facilities and professionals for the automotive needs of Team Dover members. They offer a multitude of services - here are some highlights: All services can be done by the customer or by an on-site certified mechanic. The mechanic can also walk customers through their needs and teach procedures. Basic services include oil and fluid changes, tire rotations, general tune ups, and brake maintenance. Advanced services include engine swaps or replacements, change of transmission, welding and access to the machine shop. The hobby shop comes equipped with an indoor heated wash bay for cold days. Customers may pay 30-50 percent less than the national average for services and parts. The shop can accommodate almost any type of vehicle, including cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, ATV's and RV's. Tools and supplies can be provided - the shop has a wide variety of tools for loan. Customers can also purchase basic fluids such as oil, brake and transmission fluid.
