US Army Sgt. 1st Class Levon Fernandez, Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 228 Aviation Regiment is interviewed after receiving the Soldiers Medal for heroism at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, May 7, 2018. Fernandez provided assistance to two Honduran pilots after their plane crashed into the 1-228 Headquarters last August. The medal is awarded for distinguishing oneself by heroism and is considered one of the highest honors in the Army.
