The 39th Airlift Squadron, 317th Airlift Group, Dyess Air Force Base, TX, performed an airland mission delivering Humvees to Mackall Army Airfield at Fort Bragg, NC, June 25, 2013 in support of Joint Operational Access Exercise (JOAX) 13-03. Includes interviews with Capt. Chris Marron and Maj. Mike Contrado, C-130 Hercules J pilots. JOAX is a seven-day integrated effort between the 82nd Airborne Division and its Air Force partners. JOAX synchronizes the planning and execution of a large-scale forcible entry into hostile areas; securing sufficient freedom of movement while facing anti-access and area-denial capabilities of our enemy.
