Royal Thai Marine Corps Lt. Col. Thongrob Weerajit elaborates on the benefits of training alongside partner nations during exercise Cobra Gold 2020, at Hat Yao Beach, Sattahip, Kingdom of Thailand, Feb. 27, 2020. Weerajit, a native of Buri Ram, Thailand, is the battalion commander for 3rd Infantry Battalion, 1st Infantry Regiment. Exercise Cobra Gold 20, in its 39th iteration, is designed to advance regional security and ensure effective responses to regional crises by bringing together multinational forces to address shared goals and security commitments in the Indo-Pacific region.
