One of the oldest branches in the Army, the Finance Corps has an important role in everything that our Army does. Finance Officers are masters of their technical domain and possess unparalleled interpersonal tact; enabling constant communication and support for both combat arms Commanders and higher echelon staff sections. To be an Officer in this branch you must possess the drive to constantly hone your craft while understanding your Commander’s mission, requiring both the technical knowledge to conduct Finance and Comptroller Operations with the tactical knowledge to support the Warfighter.

Second Lieutenants lead Finance Platoons to support Brigade-sized elements. Finance Platoons are responsible for supporting all cash requirements and vendor payments for units in their area of operations with the ability to impact operations within a Theater from their very first assignment. Follow-on opportunities expand into the Resource Management core competency and involve managing the budget for Commanders in every type of unit; from Infantry Brigades, Combat Aviation Brigades, and even Special Forces Groups. Opportunities for Command exist at the Finance Company and Battalion levels!
