Georgia Air National Guard Infection Control Teams sanitize nursing facilities during COVID-19

U.S. Airmen from the 116th Air Control Wing, Georgia Air National Guard, conduct infection control operations at Southern Pines Nursing Home in Warner Robins, Georgia, April 16, 2020. The Airmen, one of many teams from the Georgia National Guard, are assisting nursing facilities throughout the state of Georgia in the fight against COVID-19. At each facility the infection control teams clean throughout the facility by hand-wiping and mopping with disinfectant, followed by fogging crucial areas to sanitize the building. U.S. Air Force 2nd Lt. Charles Borre, the officer-in-charge of this team, from the 202d Engineering and Installation Squadron, explains the operation and what it means to be able to assist in the efforts to fight COVID-19.
