Daniel Zepeda Jr., Iwo Jima Commemorative Committee Treasurer/ Marine Veteran,discusses his current role as treasurer, his time in service, and the importance of remembering veterans of the battle of Iwo Jima. Veterans of World War II and the Korea War visit Camp Pendleton during the 71st Commemoration of the Battle of Iwo Jima. The commemoration consists of a tour of Camp Pendleton, tour of Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, a memorial service, and a reenactment of the historical flag raising over a three day period at various sites throughout Marine Corps Installations -West. More than 50 veterans and family members attended the tour and commemoration ceremony.
