Marines with MWSD-31 train with different weapon systems

Marine Wing Support Detachment 31 conducted a three day-long machine gun and grenade launcher training exercise at U.S. Army Garrison, Fort Stewart, Ga., June 6. The unit conducted the exercise at a multi-purpose machine gun range to ensure their Marines are tactically proficient in handling and employing the M240B machine gun and the MK19 grenade launcher to provide convoy security. MWSD-31 is set to participate in the upcoming Integrated Training Exercise, providing convoy security with theses weapons mounted on Humvees.
