U.S. Airmen piloting a C-130 aircraft land on, unload gear onto, and take off from a newly built short takeoff and landing runway during exercise Saber Junction 24 in the 7th Army Training Command's (7ATC) Hohenfels Training Area, Germany, Sept. 5, 2024. Saber Junction is an annual exercise, conducted by 7ATC and its Joint Multinational Readiness Center, which is designed to assess the readiness of U.S. Army units to execute unified land operations in a joint, combined environment, and to promote interoperability with participating Allied and partner nations.
