U.S. Air Force pararescuemen assigned to the 83rd Expeditionary Rescue Squadron operate out of a U.S. Army CH-47F Chinook during a mass casualty exercise at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan Feb. 27, 2018. The Airmen first provide care to the simulated patients on ground, then transport them to Craig Joint Theater Hospital. The pararescuemen primarily fly their missions on U.S. Army CH-47F Chinooks, making the 83rd ERQS the first joint personnel recovery team in Air Forces Central Command.
