Senior leaders from COMACC, USAFE/AFAFRICA and the Air National Guard, visit Airmen from the U.S. and Polish air forces at Łask Air Base, Poland, June 11, 2015. Lt. Col. Jack Harman, the commander of Aviation Detachment 1 in Poland hosted Maj. Gen. Bob Branyon, the Military Advisor to COMACC, Maj. Gen. Eric Vollmecke, the Military
Advisor to COMUSAFE-AFAFRICA, and Brig. Gen. James Eifert, the Florida Assistant Adjutant General, on a tour of the facilities at Łask, including a SA-3 SAM site, and to visit with the Airman support Operation ATLANTIC RESOLVE. U.S. Airmen from Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany and the South Carolina Air National Guard’s 169th Fighter Wing from McEntire Joint National Guard Base, are deployed to Łask Air Base in support of Operation ATLANTIC RESOLVE, during the month of June. These training missions, called Aviation Detachment Rotations, pair U.S. fighter pilots and maintenance crews with their Polish Air Force counterparts at Łask Air Base. This bilateral training, hosted by permanently assigned USAF service members assigned to Poland, has taken place since 2012. Through strengthened relationships and engagements with our allies, the U.S. and NATO demonstrate their shared commitment to a peaceful, stable and secure Europe. Also available in high definition.
